1. What Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, mobile number, and identity verification documents (such as a valid government ID, company ID, or student registration certificate). For landlords, we also collect property addresses, proof of ownership or authorization, and bank/e-wallet disbursement details.
2. Purpose and Usage of Data
We collect and process your personal information strictly to operate the BNT Rentals platform: verifying accounts, facilitating transparent room reservations, issuing digital rent receipts, dispatching SMS/email billing reminders, and ensuring community safety inside shared living spaces.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We partner with trusted, industry-leading infrastructure partners to power our services: Supabase (encrypted database and authentication hosting) and PayMongo (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas-regulated payment gateway for GCash, Maya, and credit/debit cards). We never sell your personal data to advertisers, aggregators, or third-party marketers.
4. Cookies & Session Storage
We use essential session tokens and cookies to maintain your login status, remember your city and budget search preferences, and protect against cross-site request forgery. You can adjust your browser settings to decline cookies, although some interactive features may require them to function.
5. Data Retention & Erasure
We retain your account records as long as your profile remains active. Upon written request for account deletion to privacy@bntrentals.com, your personal identifiers will be permanently removed from active tables within 30 days, except records required by tax and accounting regulations.
6. Compliance with RA 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012)
As an individual in the Philippines, you are entitled to rights of access, correction, objection, and erasure under Republic Act No. 10173. To exercise any of your data privacy rights, please reach out to our appointed Data Protection Officer at privacy@bntrentals.com.
7. Security Protocols
All traffic to BNT Rentals is encrypted with 256-bit TLS/SSL certificates in transit. Database tables containing sensitive identity documents are guarded by strict Row Level Security (RLS) policies, preventing unauthorized read access between different accounts.
8. Updates to this Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect technical enhancements or regulatory changes. Any material updates will be highlighted via in-app banner or emailed to registered account holders.
